Et si tout s'arrêtait là ? - Editions Glénat - 2017
Reprends ton souffle - Editions Glénat - mai 2019

“Emma, an American sociology student, arrives in Chamonix, the perfect location for her research. This study year is her opportunity to meet and get to know alpinists of the highest level, as well as champions of extreme sports such as freeride, base-jump, wingsuit and highline…

Through hanging out with ultra-trail runners, she is introduced to running.

Her meeting with Matthieu, the freeride and trail running champion, will spin Emma into a never-felt before experience, delightfully loving and boldly sexual.

But week after week, in this competitive world, rivalries and treasons will start and grow, progressively throwing Emma into anguish and fear.”

Mélanie Valier was born in 1978 near Paris. In 1983, she spends her first holidays in Chamonix.

In 2003, she completes her DEA (Diploma of Profound Studies) in Law with her thesis “Protection of the Mont-Blanc valley and the international road traffic”, then moves to the South-West of France to work in the environment industry.

Her passion for the mountain and for books will encourage her to start writing in 2013 following a snowboard accident. “Et si tout s’arrêtait là?” is her first novel.
